Saavedra

“Although he doesn’t label himself an artist, it's unarguable that he is: Many of the abstract paintings are Saavedra’s own work, and the elements in every room are brought together masterfully.”

A Northern California native, James moved to Los Angeles and earned his degree in interior design at the acclaimed Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). He went on to partner with the Pottery Barn at that same institution and earned an advanced degree in International Product Development and Manufacturing. Upon graduating, James continued to show his dedication to his field through teaching and mentoring up and coming designers at his alma mater.

James went on to land a spot as a television host of TLC’s Clean Sweep and appeared on the premiere season of HGTV's Design School as a mentor and industry expert. He also designed and produced a private label sustainable furniture line recognized by Interior Design Magazine and noted by the Los Angeles as a line that dexterously “merges Art Deco silhouettes with Hollywood Regency glamour”.

With the depth of experience of a truly dedicated artist, James has established a reputation for creating effortless, edited interiors that tell the story of his clients through refined materials, sophisticated color palettes, and thought provoking focal points. His love of classic foundations, richly layered textures, and handcrafted belongings embody his visceral approach to his craft from coast to coast and abroad.
